    They both build the same amount of muscle but free weight strengthen the joints and core more and make you stronger in athletic movements. That's it

    Because of genetics and selection bias. the same why swimmer have wide shoulders and basketball players are tall.

    • @SimonsterStrength
      @SimonsterStrength 3 дні тому

      Genetics and selection bias play a role... but this is not the only or even primary reason and the basketball analogy falls through. The difference is that there is a mechanism through which gymnastics makes your biceps bigger (by applying tension to the muscle). Saying selection bias is why gymnasts have big biceps is like saying selection bias is why bodybuilders are jacked... It plays a role but without the training bodybuilders would not be nearly as muscular and gymnasts would not have such big biceps. The basketball analogy isn't great because there's no mechanism through which basketball makes you taller.

    5:12 planche press and planche push up for this??!! That's crazy, say it in other way because it just seems you need to unlock planche before this and it it not true.

    It’s actually just genetics

    • @SimonsterStrength
      @SimonsterStrength 16 днів тому

      Do you think if gymnasts did not train, they would have the same sized biceps? If yes, then at least your statement is consistent with your thinking. If not, then you agree it’s not “just genetics”.

    Good day Simon! I love that you attended to this subject, in the spirit of Charles Poliquin coaching methods. Unfortunately, I believe that the Strength Sensei, won't likely divulge the research that Charles created with his athletes. This would likely be a good place to start to verify these structural balance scores, and methodologies...

      @@SimonsterStrength You mean dwarfs? Listen, There are literally hundreds of thousands of amateur bodybuilders that are completely jacked.. yet there are only maybe five PRO gymnasts that are jacked and their pictures and video clips are used in every single calisthenics and rings video on UA-cam. It's utter bullcrap that using rings is going to get you jacked.. toned up, stronger and fitter maybe. Jacked? Absolutely not. Unless you are an adult with the skeleton of a little boy.

Using rings will get you toned stronger and fitter but will they get you jacked? Absolutely not. You may get a bit more muscular if you're an adult with the skeletal frame of a little boy. I can even see looking at your body that you have a very small skeletal frame for an adult male which is why you appear muscular.
